Contesting from Nuwara Eliya by rich Muttiah Muralitharan
Muttiah Prabhakaran (brother of former cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan) says he hopes to contest from the Nuwara Eliya district at the forthcoming general election to support the initiative of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
Muttiah Prabhakaran, speaking at a media briefing recently, said that a row of estate houses in the Bilinkiboni estate belonging to the Norwood Police Division were set on fire and the house was provided with the necessary equipment for the displaced.
Speaking further Mr. Muttiah Prabhakaran said his father was a native of Maskeliya.As a person who knows the plight of the people in the plantation sector, President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa is working with President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa to contest the forthcoming general election from the Nuwara Eliya District.
Muttiah Prabhakaran said that cluster meetings have already been held at several places in the plantation sector.
